Country lodging on Kibbutz Ashdot Ya’akov- Ichud – Jordan Valley
In the Jordan Valley between the Gilad Mountains and Ramat Yishkar, only 5 minutes from the Sea of Galilee, 15 minutes from Hamat Gader springs and Tiberias is Kibbutz Ashdot Ya’akov Ichud. The accommodation site of “Nahara” is located in the center of the courtyard of the Kibbutz amongst the palm and olive trees, with lovely grass areas which create a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere.
At our beautiful lodging site you are invited to join and experience a variety of activities for adults and children.
On the Kibbutz:
The kibbutz has games courts, lawn areas, a swimming pool which operates during the summer season and wonderful guided tours of the kibbutz and its fruits of the orchards.
In addition there is the Beit Eyal health and sport center with a heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and an advanced gym with a variety of fitness classes. In the entrance to the kibbutz there is the wonderful “Tzel Tamar Restaurant” meat restaurant.
The nearby area:
- Tours to Naharayim with a guided tour of the “Peace Island” on the Israel-Jordan border, the nearby historical power station and the floodgate paths.
- Jungle Kef at Beit Zera
- Indian canoe boat rides along the Jordan River
- Activities in nature held by Merkavot Ha’yarden.
- A visit to Beit Gabriel on the banks of the Sea of Galilee – Restaurant and movie theater.

The accommodation apartments:
The accommodation site is located in the center of the courtyard of the Kibbutz amongst the palm and olive trees with lovely grass areas which create a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere.
In these modest and pleasant accommodation rooms we have respected the kibbutz founders by giving each room a special name which is affiliated with old and new industries of the kibbutz.
Each room has been designed according to its name with a special story. Here you will experience a different kind of holiday while learning about the kibbutz’s background and history.
The country lodging on the kibbutz offers a number of different rooms:
- The Shichvah Rooms
- The Company Rooms
- The Jacuzzi/regular apartments
- Two room apartments
In each room there is a shower and toilet, air conditioning, heating, cable television and a coffee corner with a refrigerator, electric kettle, tea and coffee supplies.
In addition on the site:
- “Haya Haya” café – a special breakfast is served daily and on Friday evenings the café is open and is decorated with many ancient items.
- Barbeque – the site has a number of shaded barbeque areas.
- Swimming pool – open in season
- Breakfast – a special breakfast with homemade jams and delicious cakes, Kosher.
- Treatment rooms – aromatic oil massages and cosmetic treatments.
- Supermarket – open all day
