Olive Oil from Nanaim

At Nanaim, we cultivate several varieties of olive tree to produce our oil.

Frantoio and Leccino, which make up the bulk of our trees, both originate from Tuscany. Here in the local soil and micro-climate, they have produced uniquely flavored oils, differing from local Israeli varieties such as Souri and Barnea.

Maalot, a new Israeli varietal, is based on the North African Chemlali and is present at a level of about 1% in our oils. The trees are dispersed throughout the grove for improved fertilization of the olive flowers and add a touch more fruitiness to the overall taste.

Our olives are harvested when the olives have reached an optimal ripeness and cold-pressed very close to picking time. This ensures the oil is extra virgin quality (0.3 - 0.7% free fatty acids) and low in peroxides (8-15). Low peroxide level indicates oil that is fresh with a high level of anti-oxidants, one of the key ingredients that make olive oil a healthy food.

We sell our two brands – 'Frantoio' and 'Leccino' in glass containers of 0.5 liter, and metal containers of 2, 5 and 17 liters. Customers are welcome to taste the oils before purchasing.

היה מעולה! :-)

אני, אשתי והקטן בן 4 חודשים נשארנו בחול המועד פסח בצימר. זאת הפעם השנייה שאנחנו מגיעים לצימר נענעים ובוודאות נחזור לפה שוב. תמר, בעלת הצימר, אישה מאוד נחמדה ודאגה לנו להכל, כולל מיטה לקטן וגם לגיגית לאמבטיה. בנוסף הצימר גדול ונוח.

מאוד נהנינו, מומלץ! :-)

כל מה שנחוץ להתבודדות-של-כתיבה

ציפורים מהחלון בבוקר, פרפרים ורחש העלים, שמן זית ועשבים טריים לתה, עוגיות ועוד. הדירונת ביתית, מצויידת ומתוחזקת, והחוץ מזמין לטיול מרענן של בוקר - עם המצלמה! כל מה שנחוץ ללא מה שמיותר. השקט והמרחב הרגוע, ותמי וסטנלי המקסימים ברקע, איפשרו לי שבוע מרוכז של כתיבה הרחק מכל ההסחות בעיר. עוד אשוב ל"חדר משלי" בעונת פריחת התורמוסים!

A very charming location that provides privacy; a charming ambience; positively delightful host and hostess who go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Their knowledge of the available sights and services in the area made our stay most enjoyable. The location is a great central location for all of the sights and beach locations in the northern portion of the country and the Olives and Olive Oil they sell are exceptional, to say the least. We look forward to our next Israeli visit as Nanaim will undoubtedly be our "home away from home" during our stay. Thanks Nanaim for a memorable experience.

Hello! We are very happy with the accommodation in Nanaim. Recommend that all Russian tourists take their hospitable accommodation and enjoy a room. Beautiful furniture, olive trees and just 10 minutes from the beach. Possibility to organize barbeques and walk in banana forest.

My wife and I stayed at Manaim Lodge for several weeks, at each of the two cottages. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts, Tamie and Stanley were terrific, helpful and thoughtful. The cottages were very well equiped with many extras provided. They were quiet and very comfortable. We recommend this zimmer very highly and would stay there again whenever we return.

מגלים כל פעם מחדש

אין בו ג'קוזי, גם לא בריכה צמודה, והוא לא במרחק הליכה מהים, ובכל זאת נענעים הוא המקום הנפלא ביותר להתארח בו. התנאי היחיד הוא שאתם חייבים להיות אוהבי טבע, כי אחרת פשוט תפספסו את כל מה שיש למקום להציע. אנחנו חוזרים לנענעים בפעם החמישית! ובכל פעם מגלים מחדש את יפי העולם שסביבו ואת הנעימות שבו. כי אין כמו לחזור לבית קטן ונעים וקריר אחרי בוקר של שיטוט וצפייה בציפורים בבריכות הדגים ובחוף הפתוח של מעגן מיכאל, ואין כמו לחזור לבית הנענעים הזה הישר משקיעה במפרצונים של חוף הבונים. ואין כמו הידיעה שלא צריך למהר למסעדה, אפשר לבשל משהו פשוט וטעים בהנאה במטבח המאובזר של תמי ולהגיש בכלים האסתטיים שלה במרפסת, על גבול הדשא. ואלה רק שתיים מהסיבות...
